Roadside Call-Out Cost Estimator
Pick where the truck is, what time it is, and what it is doing, and this builds the range a mobile mechanic would quote you on the phone. It is built from the same numbers on the pricing page, it does not ask for an email, and it does not end with “call for pricing”.
Two honest notes before you use it. The call-out covers the drive out, the first look, and the drive back; the labor clock starts when our tech is at your truck, not when the service truck leaves Casa Grande. And the estimator prices the job you pick, not the second thing found underneath it. The truck that will not start often has a failing alternator behind the dead bank, which is why our tech load tests before replacing anything.
What each answer changes
- Where the truck is sets the call-out. The base zone is Casa Grande and the Eloy truck stop exits, I-10 194 through 208 and I-8 178 through 172. Outside it the call-out sits at the top of its range with mileage quoted on the call, which is why the floor of your estimate moves. The corridor guide maps every exit and zone.
- What time it is is the difference between a $150 to $350 call-out and a $250 to $500 one. You are told which applies while you are still on the phone, not on the invoice.
- What it is doing picks the repair range. If you are not sure, the last option prices the one-hour minimum of diagnostic time, which is what most calls start with anyway.
If you already know the symptom
The problems pages go deeper than a dropdown can. Start with the no-start page if it will not crank, the DEF derate page if the dash is counting down to 5 mph, the air leak page if you are losing pressure, or the overheating page if the coolant gauge is climbing on the way to Tucson. Each one lists what a mobile technician can fix on site and what genuinely needs a shop, so you can tell before you pay a call-out.
Planning yard work instead of a breakdown? The fleet PM and DOT inspection estimator prices a scheduled visit, which is always cheaper than the roadside version of the same repair.
What will this roadside call cost?
Three questions, thirty seconds. Every number is a range published on our pricing page, so this is the range a mobile mechanic would quote you on the phone.
Two things this cannot see. Pick a zone outside Casa Grande and Eloy and the low end of the estimate jumps, because the call-out sits at the top of its published range out there and mileage past that is quoted on the call. And a battery job is labor only here; trucks carry three or four batteries at $150 to $250 each, and our tech load tests the bank before selling any of them.
Send this estimate to the quote formAn estimate, not a quote. The firm number is given on the phone before a service truck heads out, and it does not move afterward.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where do these numbers come from?
The same tables on our pricing page: a $150 to $350 call-out inside Casa Grande and Eloy, $250 to $500 after hours and on weekends and holidays, labor at $125 to $185 an hour with a one-hour minimum, and fixed ranges for the common repairs. Nothing in this tool is a number the site does not publish.
Why does the low end jump when I pick Picacho or Gila Bend?
Because the published call-out for those zones is the top of the range plus mileage. Arizona City, Stanfield, Picacho, Red Rock, Maricopa, Coolidge, and Florence are quoted at the top; Gila Bend, Marana, and the Sacaton rest area are quoted by the mile. The estimator shows the floor, and our tech gives you the exact figure on the call.
Do I have to give an email to see the result?
No. There is no gate, no signup, and no number hidden behind a form. The range updates as you change the dropdowns, and sending it to the quote form is optional. If the truck is down right now, calling is faster than typing.
What is not in this estimate?
Parts beyond the ones named in each line, a parts run to a Phoenix-side supplier if something is not on the service truck, and tires, which are a separate trade with a separate truck. All three are quoted before the work rather than added to the invoice afterward.
